Tailored streetwear: Corneliani collection s/s 2015
In the beautiful garden of “Rotonda della Besana”, a piano with the artist Raphael Gualazzi: in this way Milan fashion week opens, two worlds united by the same need to take their art around the globe, to convey the emotions of the excellence of Italian production worldwide.
With a look towards the future, maintaining continuity of the past in the present, the new collection spring summer 2015 of Sergio Corneliani is inspired by younger wardrobes, embellished with details and luxurious fabrics.
Menswear is moving towards a new elegance, fresh and easier. Soft lines and plus sizes, to deal with laidback a world characterized by fast-paced, requiring constant movement and great adaptability to different reality that man Corneliani must face daily.
A streetwear mood, always with the tailored style, so appreciated by the designer, and authoritarian masculinity, outmoded but needing an innovative rediscovery.
The suit is the real challenge of this collection: unusual volumes and innovative materials, for an informal look, a perfect blend of subtle bohemian style and chic sportswear.
Great attention to the jacket, comfortable and all-round, suitable for most occasions. Short, three-button and wide waist, combined with a pair of trousers with pleats, draped over the shoes, or without pleats, comfortable on the hips, but always short and with turn-ups.
The shirt is wide, no classic, with lower shoulders and a funnel neck.
The must-have pieces for spring/summer 2015 is the T-shirt, in leather or printed cashmere with monochrome graphics.
The symbol of Corneliani collection is the blouson jacket, square-shaped and narrow waist. More casual pieces are hooded parkas and cotton trench coats.
Light colors dominate the collection, ice white and cream, pearl and mastic. A colored tone is given by the sky-blue and sage green, the black is the only concession of dark color.
