BEAUTY TALK: Backstage at Stella Jean S/S 2016 Fashion Show

As usual, Stella Jean takes us on a journey in different cultures and countries. For next Spring Summer 2016 season she wants to travel with Italian migrants during last centuries. This collection carries out a thread between the past and current events, indeed. Beauty helps us to understand how many opportunities come from different cultures’ exchanges.

Hair styling is by Alessandro Olivieri for Alfaparf Milano. His inspiration takes place in ‘800 period and highlights the simplicity and the naturalness of those people who migrated. There is a lot of natural volume and the texture is kept really smooth. He created a lot of spirals in order to achieve a natural and dismantled look.

As for nails, Antonio Sacripante for Morgan Taylor used a vivid orange to recall South America’s colors and atmospheres. The shade used here, Orangey You Glad, has a transparent finish so it  has been layered over an opaque white base called All White Now.

The beauty look is created by MAC Senior Artist Michele Magnani with the help of his MAC Pro team. He wanted to create a beauty look for real women so it can be pulled off by everyone everywhere. In order to give that allure of fresh, natural beauty he only used creamy products.

A hyper-natural, luminous foundation such as brand new Studio Waterweight. Then a sunkissed effect thanks to bronzing BB in Refined Golden. He add a lightly touch of strobing thanks to new upcoming creamy highlighters which have a completely different texture from traditional Cream Color Base. On eyes and cheeks he used creamy products as well, both from new Trend Forecast Lip and Eye Palettes (available soon).

Eyebrows are always strong, as we see from some years already. To fill them out it has been used a new chubby creamy pencil available in all traditional shades such as Spiked, Lingering and so on.

Eyes are also framed by super long eyelashes thanks to n°7 false lashes and In Extreme Dimension mascara.

Last but not least, lips are kept extremely natural and hydrated with a Mineralize Glass in a nude shade.
