Iceberg S/S 2016

BEAUTY TALK: Backstage at Iceberg S/S 2016 Fashion Show

The new Iceberg’s creative director Arthur Arbesser talks about this new Spring Summer 2016 collection: it is all about optical patterns, 70’s cut, daring colours, a lot of knitwear even if it is a Spring collection, details inspired by Enrico Baj. He wanted to give the idea of a great vitaminic energy.

Iceberg SS16Neil Moodie is the hair stylist for this fashion show. He thought about a very young and innocent girl. Actually the texture of the hair is very natural, like if it was completely virginal. So he wanted to create that natural centre parting. To prepare the hair they used Windle and Moodie Foundation Spray, layered with a little bit of Fortifying Spray and they diffused the products naturally only using the fingers, without blow drying. They tried to keep the hair a little flat on the top with a slightly drier texture to the end with a little sprinkle of Shine and Smoothing Oil which is just like a natural oil. They also tried to create a hair that it’s not too thick with a braiding underneath, but the braids are completely invisible.

Iceberg SS16As explained by the makeup artist Val Garland for MAC Cosmetics, the inspiration for the beauty look is a raw, real girl. So, it’s not about the makeup, but it’s all about the real world reality. Of course, it has been used a little of foundation, some concealer where needed in order to make the girls a little bit cleaner and more polished. Then, it’s all about highlighter on the cheeckbones, all around the eye and over the lids. It’s quite a boyish look, indeed, but it is very, very glossy.Iceberg SS16

Iceberg SS16As foundation they only used a little bit of Mineralize Moisture Foundation and then they used Clear Gloss to create those glossy and shiny highlighted focuses. They also kept the lips natural and matte with Prep+Prime Lip. Then they finished the look with Brow Set for eyebrows.
