A water world captain at Philipp Plein fashion show
An outdoor swimming pool, a scenery of cartoon sharks, a harmonious melody, while synchronized swimmers begin a sensual dance in the water, this is the spotlight of the “Water World” by Philipp Plein for the fashion show of spring-summer 2015 men’s collection at Milan Fashion Week.
The evening starts with the American rapper Theophilus London, who runs throughout the pool with jet ski, singing, and so the fashion show kicks off. Models appear on the catwalk at the pool, wearing the new collection inspired by the Water World and boating.
Water represents power and strength, this is the reason whereby all outfits are designed for an adventurous and ironic man, self-confident, who wants appear and he makes great attention to details. The clothing is often enhanced by applications with metallic embroidery, hand made, that reflect the classic marine elements, a reminder to the sailors and captains’ world, but with the usual ironic mood of the German designer.
Double-breasted jackets and bomber jackets, with prints of exaggerated size, inspired by the underwater world, with cartoon sharks, toucans and bougainvillea.
Notable the denim with cuts and hand-crafted. The symbolic piece of this collection is skinny jeans, completely ripped which reveal the skin.
Great attention to accessories and materials: exotic skins, as laminate python and crocodile, printed tote bags and studded precious sandals.
The result is a bold collection, full of denim and prints, details and refined materials, especially designed for a modern captain, the water world captain of Philipp Plein.
A spectacular and breathtaking exhibition of two acrobats on jet skis, dressed in elegant black suit and white shirt, has closed the fashion show, simultaneously with the final parade of all models and the final output of the designer.
